Gulf Shore Association of Condominiums
Welcome!

A Message from your President – Russ Gowland
It is an honor for me to have served as president of GSAC since January 2009. The organization has been developed to respond to our mission and we have an outstanding group of officers and board members to serve our membership. While most of our members are concerned with issues dealing with their individual associations, we are concerned with issues outside of your associations that affect the quality of life we enjoy in our neighborhood. Our mission is to deal with issues common to our association members such as: maintenance, parking and safety of our streets and beach access areas, maintenance of our beach and other issues dealing with traffic, sidewalks, bike paths, lighting safety, drainage and signage. In carrying out our mission we must maintain contact with a) our State representatives who provide legislation for condominium and cooperative associations, b) City officials and Council members, County Commissioners who provide services and c) our neighboring associations in Park Shore and the Moorings that deal with common issues. We serve as the eyes and ears of our neighborhood, being alert to proposed or new legislation or service level and cost issues. We frequently meet with key officials to discuss issues and present our positions. Our membership represents a strong tax base for the city and county and a high density area that is relatively easy to service compared with single family neighborhoods. Having stated our mission and how we are prepared to serve our members, I believe we do a very good job of communicating with the “outside parties” that impact our quality of life. Our basic communication is by email to our member building presidents and managers. If you are one of the few associations without email, I would encourage you to establish an account for your board president and manager. We also publish a newsletter twice a year, which is delivered to each building for distribution to its residents. We are in the process of building this web site and will continue to enhance it and establish links with our member associations who also have web sites. Our Board of Directors meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month, November through May, and begin at 4 p.m. and last about an hour. Check our Calendar of Events page for more detailed information regarding meeting locations and scheduled speakers. Inquiries regarding membership in GSAC are always welcome and can be submitted by using our Contact Us page. Russ Gowland
